About me...
Defne Aydın, born in 1987, began her musical training at the age of 7. She embarked on her theatre career with acting and choral singing, later advancing her skills through private training. In 2007, she was accepted into the State Conservatory of Ankara University Opera and choral singing program as one of the top-ranked students. From 2009 to 2015, she held a contract with the State Theatres in Ankara, where she worked as an actress and singer.
In 2016-2017, Defne Aydın earned her Master’s degree in Theatre Studies from the Joseph Haydn Conservatory. She received vocal and stylistic training from renowned instructors Sonya Lutz, Claudia Visca, and Glenys Linos. She has also worked with distinguished masters such as Bujor Hoinic, Chariklia Apostolu, Bojidar Abrasev, Theodore Coresi, Giuseppe Terza, Nicolas Radulescu, Peter Valentovic, and Daniel Geiss. In addition, she collaborated with Daniel Sarge, Stephen Hopkins, and practiced accompaniment and style with James Pearson. Her masterclass experience includes working with world-renowned artists like Evgenia Dundekova and Barbara Frittoli.
Since 2017, Defne Aydın has performed in prestigious concert halls and churches across Vienna, including Schönbrunn Palace Theatre, MUTh, Theater Akzent, Kunstsaal, Festsaal der Bezirksvorstehung, Hilde Weinberger Saal, Esterházy Palace, Teatrul de Arte Deva, Musikverein Kärnten, Mozarteum Großer Saal, and most recently, the Goldener Saal of the Musikverein Wien. Her performances span various venues across Europe and beyond.
Ms. Aydın continues her career as an international opera singer and performer, actively engaging audiences throughout Europe.
